Custom Couture Commission

Your request should include:

• The service you are wishing to book: 'Custom Commission' or 'Made To Order'
• Order details; any initial design specific requests.
• Name and date of the event the piece is for (ie wedding, Royal Ascot Ladies Day, Melbourne Cup Day, Met Gala etc).
• Your location (or where you need the piece sent to).
• Ideal date you would like to receive by.

This is a handmade service. All orders may take anywhere up to 4 weeks to make (plus shipping).  Please consider this when sending your booking request.

There are two things to consider before you book in.

• These services are very popular. Places are limited and book out months in advance. It is advisable that any orders for major events & important dates are placed as early as possible. 

If there is availability in the booking calendar, then yes. However, these services are very popular and often booked out well in advance. An alternative booking cannot be guaranteed. Subject to Terms & Conditions.

When booking a Custom Commission, a design consultation is part of the couture service. During the design consultation your vision and requirements will be explored, including any items you may wish to be considered (i.e photos, dress, accessories, special fabrics etc). You will be guided through millinery styles and any headwear requirements you or your attending event may have. 

Consults are carried out virtually via Zoom, unless an in-house appointment is requested. The session usually takes 30-40 minutes.

There is no design consultation for Peacock Millinery Made To Order bookings as the design is set, except for allowing minimal modifications such as colour and head size. If you wish to have a design consultation, the appropriate fee for this service will be charged. 

Custom Commissions start from $1000 AUD. 

Peacock Millinery Made To Order pieces generally range in price from $450 to $1000, with smaller pieces, such as headbands and small cocktail/races hats, made for under $450.  

All orders made outside of the online shop require a $250 non-refundable deposit (made at the time of booking).

Full payment (the balance) is required upon the details of your order being confirmed. Varying/adding to a design after it has been agreed upon, will incur additional costs and may delay your order timeframe. 

All orders must be paid in full prior to collection/shipping.
